AUDITIONS:

Jobsite Theater is hiring a music director/pianist/performer for their October/November production of Gorey Stories. This is a paid position, contracted late September through the end of November with a sliding scale of commitment from beginning to end. We anticipate needing this artist 1/2x a week for the first few weeks to increase as the show goes into technical rehearsals. Rehearsals to be arranged evenings and weekends, and are slightly flexible to accommodate the right candidate. Shows are Thursday--Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 4 p.m. Show runs for 4 weeks with an option of a 5th should sales warrant it. Duties include musical direction, accompaniment and conducting two other musicians, a percussionist and bassist. Comfort with filling in choral numbers and possibly aiding with "bits" during a production a plus. Must be ok to be on stage in costume and full make-up. Fans of Edward Gorey, Tim Burton, Dresden Dolls, The Tiger Lillies and so on should please drop everything and get in touch with us immediately. :) Write to auditions@jobsitetheater.org with a current resume. Interviews to occur as resumes are received.

Jobsite Theater has announced their audition schedule for the 2012-13 season. Jobsite Theater's general auditions will take place on Sunday, May 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Shimberg Playhouse at the Straz Center. Currently ALL AUDITION SLOTS ARE FULL. If you were not able to get a slot, you may arrive to the front doors of the Shimberg at 11 a.m. and be seen on a first-come, first-served "standby" basis should we be running ahead of schedule or in the event of no-shows. We can make no guarantees that you will be able to be seen, but will do everything we can to see everyone we can up until 3 p.m.

Jobsite Ensemble members are not required to attend general auditions, and instead will be brought directly into appropriate callbacks. Current ensemble members are encouraged to contact David Jenkins to discuss specific callback opportunities if they wish, and individual show directors will be contacting specific performers that they would like to see at callbacks soon. Callbacks for the individual shows will take place on Monday and Tuesday evenings from May 21 - June 5 at locations TBD (and are by invitation).

Mon., May 21:   Callback: Fahrenheit 451  6:30 p.m.
Tue., May 22:    Callback: Hay Fever  6:30 p.m.
Tue., May 29:    Callback: Much Ado About Nothing  6:30 p.m.
Mon., June 4:    Callback: Behind the Gates  6:30 p.m.
