Annual gifts help fund education and outreach programs at The Straz. Since we opened our doors in 1987, we have dedicated a significant portion of our annual budget to educational programs for infants through adults.

When you give online, you may designate your gift to the following:

Arts Education Programs
We offer educational opportunities on our stages, in our classrooms, and in our community, such as:
• year-round classes and camps in theater, dance and music at the Patel Conservatory and through our Conservatory-To-Go program,
• community engagement through artist talk-backs, community arts programs and field trips, and
• access for lesser-served children and families to learn about performing arts at no cost.

Patel Conservatory Scholarships
The Patel Conservatory provides unparalleled instruction in music, theater and dance for beginners to pre-professionals.  Through scholarships, The Straz provides assistance to families with financial need as well as merit-based funding to advanced students pursuing a future career in the arts.

Operation Tickets
The Straz makes tickets available at low or no cost to people who might not have the budget for a full-priced ticket.  Low-income individuals and families, educators, students, military and first responders all have access to special offers through Operation Tickets. You can support this program with a cash gift or by donating tickets you’ve already purchased – we redistribute your tickets, and you receive a tax-deductible receipt equal to the ticket value.

If you would like to learn more about other programs we provide, please contact our development office at (813) 222-1036 or belong@strazcenter.org.
