Dickey Betts and Great Southern with special guest Devon Allman’s Honeytribe

Dickey Betts was an integral member of The Allman Brothers Band. His intertwined lead guitar with Duane Allman's provided the group's signature sound, along with the dual drummers and combo of blues, country and jam that basically started what became known as southern rock. That helped lead to Skynyrd, Molly Hachet, Wet Willie, Marshall Tucker and Tampa's Outlaws, most of whom added some spice to the already potent mix. Local pride: The Allman Brothers started in Jacksonville. On his own, Betts' "Highway Call" album is a highlight, including "Long Time Gone" and the title song.
