Tony Lucca

Tony Lucca’s life-long immersion in music and his ever-deepening life experiences have resulted in a potently affecting body of work. His lyrics and vocal quality are instantly identifiable, even to those who have heard his music only once or twice. Raised in Waterford, Mich., Lucca began singing at age 3 and by 12 he was writing and playing in Detroit-area bands. As a teen, he lived in Orlando, where he worked for four seasons on the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club alongside future superstars Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.

Lucca, who is based in L.A., went the internet route and sold his first two independent releases, his debut So Satisfied (1997) and the follow-up Strong Words, Softly Spoken (1999), through his own website. His first commercially distributed album, Shotgun, arrived in 2004. It was succeeded by his Rock Ridge Music debut Canyon Songs (2006) and Come Around Again (2008), Rendezvous With the Angels (2010) and his most recent release, Under  the Influence, which came out in 2011. Regularly priced tickets start at $25.50.

This concert is not part of the Club Jaeb season ticket package.

There is a maximum ticket allotment of eight tickets per account/household/business for paid, ticketed events. (For some shows, it may be less.) Applicable service charges added at point of purchase. There is no maximum for free, non-ticketed events.

For ticket purchases via the phone or ticket office, service charges are waived for current annual Straz members at the $400 level and higher, although special handling fees may apply to some shows. Service charges for online transactions apply to all members. 

Pursuant to s.817.36, Florida Statutes, no Straz Center ticket may be offered or resold for more than $1 over the face value of the ticket.

About the Show

Most recently, Lucca captured America’s hearts as the Team Adam finalist on NBC’s hit TV show The Voice. After his rendition of Ray LaMontagne’s “Trouble” turned all four coaches’ chairs in the audition round, Lucca’s trajectory on The Voice rose again when he performed “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel. Lucca also covered Hugo’s version of Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” on the show, which sold briskly, and sales of the single propelled Lucca to the No. 3 spot on iTunes Overall Singles sales chart and No. 1 on iTunes Rock Singles chart. Additionally, Lucca’s duet of “Yesterday” by The Beatles with coach Adam Levine (of Maroon 5) landed in the Top 5 on iTunes Overall and Pop Singles sales charts.
