Born and raised in San Jose, Calif., Anjelah Johnson is of Mexican and Native American descent. She became an internet sensation with her viral video “Nail Salon” and later, she appeared on MADtv as a series regular, which then spawned another internet sensation “Bon Qui Qui.” Johnson was nominated for an ALMA Award for her work on the show. Johnson was a professional cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders, where she was named Rookie of the Year. Pricing

Regularly priced tickets start at $32.50.

There is a maximum ticket allotment of eight tickets per account/household/business for paid, ticketed events. (For some shows, it may be less.) Applicable service charges added at point of purchase. There is no maximum for free, non-ticketed events.

For ticket purchases via the phone or ticket office, service charges are waived for current annual Straz members at the $400 level and higher, although special handling fees may apply to some shows. Service charges for online transactions apply to all members. 

Pursuant to s.817.36, Florida Statutes, no Straz Center ticket may be offered or resold for more than $1 over the face value of the ticket.

About the Show

Johnson can also be seen as a live action character in the film Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel alongside Jason Lee and the voices of Justin Long, Anna Faris and Amy Poehler. Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is now available on Blu-ray and DVD. In 2010, Johnson starred in Our Family Wedding. She plays the feisty sister of America Ferrera in this comedy about two families coming together for a wedding. The film also stars Carlos Mencia, Regina King and Forest Whitaker. Johnson lent her voice for the animated film Marmaduke along with Emma Stone, Owen Wilson and Jeremy Piven. Johnson currently resides in Los Angeles and continues to tour with her standup show in various cities around in the U.S.
