Symphonie Fantastique - The Florida Orchestra
Apr 28, 2017
Carol Morsani Hall
Through music, the orchestra tells the story of French composer Hector Berlioz in his Symphonie Fantastique, a self-portrait of an artist’s destructive passion for his beloved. Also on the program: Mason Bates’ bold and intriguing The B-Sides, a TFO premiere using electronica performed on a laptop; and Stravinsky’s Scherzo fantastique, Op. 3, another TFO premiere. Michael Francis conducts.
