2025-2026 School Year Music Auditions
MON • AUG 18 • 4-7PM
Advanced Chamber Strings, Intermezzo Strings and Repertory Orchestra
• Two scales that are representative of your current playing level
• Solo of your choice, and please bring sheet music
• Students may be asked to sight-read
Opera Workshop, Women’s Ensemble, Men’s Ensemble, Chorale, Bella Voce and Barbershop Quartet
• 32-bars of a folk song, art song, or musical theater song, and please bring sheet music (an accompanist will be provided)
• Students may be asked to sight-read
Jazz Combo and Jazz Improvisation
• Two scales that are representative of your current playing level (preferably one of the scales should be a blues or Dominant/Mixolydian scale)
• Solo of your choice, and please bring sheet music
• Students may be asked to sight-read or improvise
Returning students looking to enroll in the same ensemble(s) as last year are NOT required to audition, unless they would like to be considered for a merit scholarship.
Spring Cabaret
- Video auditions must be submitted by FRI • NOV 21
- Submit a video recording of your solo, duet, or small group (no larger than 8 people)
- Recording should include some form of accompaniment - either a backing track, piano accompaniment, or pulled from archival footage from a show you performed in
- Staging, costumes and other theatrical elements not required
